Easter has always meant “pastiera di grano” since I was a child…
That is the traditional easter cake here and my parents are real master at it. It is difficult and long to make it, but very very good. We used to give it as a gift to so many people and everybody was crazy about it. Recently a friend asked me: “So what now that you’re vegan? Am I not getting that cake anymore?” |
So, this year I tried to make a vegan vegan version of it, I don’t like to much to “veganize” traditional recipes for so many reasons, but I wanted to try this one. It’s been a long process, I hope I’ll find the time to write it down.
